Sheer Share: 21 Ways To Love Yourself by Michele Santo


I may not know you, or your favorite ice cream flavor, but what I do know is you're awesome

I also know that if ya wanna achieve extraordinary things, you must do one thing:

Love yourself.

Yep, full on acceptance, radical self respect, saying NO to other people's demands, and following your own path regardless of what people say is the safe or secure.

Let's be honest, self-love isn't for sissies, although everyone has the power to access it. It requires commitment, practice and courage. Nothing is more important than how you treat yourself. It's a mirror image for how people will treat you.

Since you're so awesome, here is my gift to you: 21 ways to pour on the self-love:

1)) Write yourself love notes and affirmations like, 'I am fun to be around!'

2)) Set affirmation alarms on your phone. When they show up, read them.

3)) When you step out of the shower, glance at your body in the mirror. Send love to the parts you wish were different. Say, say, say it until you believe it.

4)) Eat super foods. Mullberries, spirulina, green juice, and raw cacao brownies, yum.

5)) Buy sexy lingerie and wear it for yourself, just because. Notice how you can feel sexy around yourself.

6)) Brighten your home with flowers. They say peonies near the bed can help manifest love.

7)) Schedule a super fun date with yourself once a month. Don't wait for a friend to do the things you love.

8)) Buy new shoes, the expensive ones.

9)) On your lunch break, take candids of yourself and laugh. Instagram needn't know everything.

10)) Write a love letter to yourself as if it were the end of the year celebrating all your super sassy growth.

11)) Take a walk on the wild side, whatever that means to you.

12)) Bless your food before chowing down. Say thanks to those who harvest your food and thank your body for creating the energy to process the food.

13)) Celebrate your amazingness. If you censor your awesome sauce, how will anyone know the kind of person they're rolling with? 

14)) Take a dance class: dance meditation, hip hop, belly dancing, Zumba. Pick one.

15)) Jump on a rebounder, (mini trampoline), and feel the joy of a child.

16)) Marry yourself. Buy a special ring, and vow to always be true to yourself.

17)) Go to a peaceful place, close your eyes, and envision white light entering your body from your crown to your feet. Feel the warm energy replacing fear with love, because that's all there is.

18)) It's time for a friend inventory! Hang with people who inspire you, not tire you.

19)) Express yourself. Scream. Shout. Let it all out.

21)) End each day with 10 things you're grateful for. It's the fastest way to insta-happiness, my friends.

Try 1 act everyday for 3 weeks. You'll experience positive shifts and stress will subside. The hum drum every day will part the sad seas and open your eyes to a magical life.

Dip into the good stuff and do it with a vengeance, like your life depends on it...because it does.


There are endless ways to love yourself. Be brave, breathe, and smile knowing whoever you are, you're fabulous. Follow your heart. It's your truest guide home.
