The holidays are a relaxing time to
spend with family, and they can also bring up our own issues and projections
that we need to sort out. This special time of year provides an opportunity to
connect with those we love and share our wishes for the upcoming moons ahead.
It is also an amazing time for self-reflection and gaining clarity about our
goals and wishes. What do you want to bring with you into the new year, and
what can you leave behind that no longer serves you? As we move ahead, I invite
you to take time out for yourself in order to get connected with your deepest
desires for 2013.
Perhaps you set some time aside for
free writing in your journal or a deep meditation session without distractions.
Sometimes, your inner self needs to be pampered, adored, and cherished, so ask
yourself, “what do I need to feel safe and loved? How can I gain more clarity
on my desires, dreams, and goals?” Release any fears or feelings of being
selfish because we deserve to give back to ourselves first, in order to share
our love with others. Nurture yourself with a massage, yoga or dance class, or
a relaxing bath with candles, aromatherapy, and soothing music. Go for a walk
by the ocean or follow a fairy trail deep into the forest. Maybe you simply
need to give yourself a few extra hours to get some adequate rest if you’ve
been very busy lately. Whatever it is that allows you to nurture yourself, give
yourself the time and space to do so. Release all distractions, and allow
yourself to connect with your inner guide, the still, gentle, and loving voice
within.
This is a time when you can
recharge yourself and reconnect to your dreams for 2013. How do you want to
feel? What will you be excited about when you wake up? How can you fall even
more deeply in love with yourself and your life? Write these ideas down and
reflect upon them. Get into a super clear and peaceful space that allows the
wisdom of your authentic inner self to come through. When you feel nurtured,
cherished, and adored, you are connected to your heart and allow yourself to be
intuitively and divinely guided.
I wish you a lovely and blissful
year ahead. I hope you fall in love with your life and share your light with
those around you. Namaste.

Beautifully written. We forget sometimes that we need to recharge every now and then. We never complain about nurturing others, but feel tremendous guilt tending to ourselves. I hope 2013 is the year we all recommit to loving ourselves and connecting with our authentic selves. Happy New Year!
