Friday Tryday: Reach Out

There are many remedies for when one is feeling blue. Gabrielle Bernstein recommends contacting an old friend and playing catch up. This method does not only ease the pain of loneliness but odds are you end up sharing a wonderful conversation with the person you decided to contact. A direct contact is important to make that personal connection such as a phone call, Skype session, or FaceTime.

Speaking from personal experience, any time I'm feeling a bit down I call a friend I have not spoken with in a while and just shoot the sh&% with him/her. Both our days dramatically improve and we usually end the conversation with a smile on our faces. This Friday I invite you to reach out to someone you haven't communicated with in some time, whether it be a text, phone call, email, etc. Drop them a line and spread the light and love that lives inside you. You'll end up brightening their day, as well as your own.
