Friday Tryday: Stop & Think

When I was student teaching I had a student who constantly called out. He was very bright and kind hearted, but he just couldn't resist when it came to speaking out. So, to prevent this from becoming a habit that could be perceived as rude, my mentor teacher and I decided to stick a small "Stop & Think" sticker on his desk. It was subtle and got the job done.

So, this Friday we could all take a lesson from my precious first grade student and take the time to stop and think before we speak. Communication is so vital in creating and maintaing any type of human relationship, so it's important that if we have something to say we think it through first. A lot of times the things we say get taken out of context as thoroughly exhibited in the media. Make sure what you say is what you really mean to say. Stop, think, and really formulate your words so there's no way they could be misconstrued.

Try it out this Friday, and don't forget to have a FAB weekend.

Light & love to you all~
